grandma

My Great Great Grandma Dorothy O'Brion was born on June 26, 1917 and passed away January 10, 2018. The sad thing was for her to die, but the AMAZING fact was she was a century OLD! Also the other AMAZING fact is now she is in Heaven!!

Her father's name was Fred and her mother's was Edith. My Grandpa Larry as a kid went to her house and ate McDonalds with her and her dog Dinah and Grandpa Larry's brother Tim (of course). Dorothy loved to crochet and sew and keep book and family records. She was the mother of 3 kids: Lois, Joyce, and Norma. Grandma O liked to watch Cubs baseball and golf.

She grew up in Fort Dodge with no running water, indoor plumbing, electricity, or television. Then she just ended her life with selfies, television, garbage disposals, and campers. Back then they only had tents. Dorothy had 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. Grandma Dorothy also loved African Violets and I forgot to say she also has 1 great great grandchild on the way.

My favorite memory with Grandma is I would go visit her in the nursing home and Grandpa Larry and I would go get her groceries and I would pick her grapes and wash them then I would get all cozy in her couch and chat with her.

My Great Vacation Day

Hi. It is me, Lauren P. Rouse. Today I'm talking about a boy and a window. Intro : On vacation, never leave a boy in the car. Chapter 1: First Night (Wisconsin, July 2016) On the first night of vacation, we were unloading the car and (dun dun dun), Isaac locked himself in the car. He was having lots of fun pressing his face on the window. Mom was FREAKING OUT!! She went to the {front} desk {at the campground}, nobody was there. Mom went to a nearby neighbor. He showed Isaac pictures of the lock. Isaac did not listen. Finely, Isaac grabbed his blankets and went to lay down and Dad had enough and busted the window. Moral of the Story: Never go on vacation with 1 year old boys! The End
